Eating other Humans for Health. Does It Still Exist?
The practice of medicinal cannibalism has been around for centuries. In some cultures, it is even seen as a sacred act that allows the person consuming the flesh of another to absorb their strength and power.
Human Flesh has been consumed by other humans for many years now. The practice of consuming human blood and flesh was widespread, mainly amongst the poor and aristocracy. However, a few members of the British Royalty also consumed human flesh and blood.
Why was Cannibalism Taking Place?
In today’s world, cannibalism seems barbaric; however, one of the reasons for the consumption of human blood and the smearing of human fat was healing. In earlier times, a corpse was not considered repulsive and was fully utilized for the benefits it provided to heal other living people. Whereas in the present day, a corpse is often seen as an object of horror and often considered not safe to touch.
